Ascension Foundation and Québec Snowboard: working together to help two athletes reach the top
Montreal, January 15th 2026/ As the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games approach, Québec Snowboard and the Ascension Foundation are joining forces to support two snowboard athletes who will receive financial support and personalized accompaniment, including exclusive discounts and complimentary products and services offered by the Foundation’s partner companies.
Aurélie Moisan, who is aspiring to represent Canada at the Olympic Games this winter, and Kobe Cantelon, a rising talent from Quebec’s next generation, are the two beneficiary athletes. Whether on the road to an Olympic podium or at the very beginning of a competitive journey, financial challenges are very real for winter sport athletes.
Snowboarding is an expensive sport. Now imagine what it costs for a high-level athlete: specialized equipment, access to training venues, travel to competition sites in Quebec and abroad. For these athletes, costs quickly become a barrier. That is where Québec Snowboard and the Ascension Foundation can make a difference.
“With the Olympic Games just around the corner, it is an exciting time to support snowboard athletes,” says Sophie Bouchard, CEO of the Ascension Foundation. “But what excites me most about this partnership is that we are supporting both an athlete who dreams of standing on the Olympic podium and an emerging talent at the very beginning of their journey. They are at different stages of their careers, but both deserve the same level of support and dedication.”
Frédérik Laberge, Executive Director of Québec Snowboard, adds: “The Ascension Foundation shares our belief that talent must be supported, regardless of background or financial means. This partnership allows us to build a fairer, stronger, and more high-performing system for Quebec snowboarding.”
